Dave Misso
Dave is a counselling psychologist with over 35 years of experience, having worked in both the public and private sectors and is a Board-approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Prior to commencing private practice in 2004, Dave managed one of Australia’s largest counselling agencies and occupied key advisory positions for Australian state and federal governments, including membership on the Queensland Domestic Violence Council. Dave adopts an integrative approach to his practice, training, and supervision drawing from a range of theories and approaches including systems theory, narrative therapy, mindfulness, sensorimotor approaches, and modern consciousness research.

He is a PhD candidate exploring metacognition in men who use domestic violence. His most recent publication is ‘Treating Intimate Partner Violence with Metacognitive Interpersonal Therapy: The Case of Aaron’.

Sigrid O'Callaghan
Sigrid is a clinical psychologist, psychodynamic psychotherapist and a Board-approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Sigrid is a teaching staff member with the Brisbane Centre of Psychoanalytic Studies and member of the teaching faculty with the Queensland Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association and supervisor for the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program She has been working in private practice since 2007.

Prior to private practice, Sigrid worked in various rehabilitation and community health settings (Berlin, Sydney, Brisbane) with a wide range of people (children, adolescents, adults) presenting with complex mental health issues. Her roles encompassed the treatment of psychological difficulties as well as coordinating clinical programs and supervision for staff. She worked as an external supervisor for the Queensland University of Technology, Post Graduate Program for clinical psychology between 2007- 2020.

Dr. Rebecca Bargenquast
Rebecca is a psychodynamic therapist and clinical supervisor with a special interest in the treatment of complex mental health difficulties, early intervention for prodromal (early stage) mental health conditions, and therapy for parenting difficulties and parent-infant attachment issues. Rebecca's clinical work experience includes roles in community, inpatient, and private practice settings working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties including psychosis, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorder, and deliberate self-harm. In the past Rebecca has worked as Clinical Services Coordinator at Queensland University of Technology and Western Sydney University, and Senior Psychologist in both Queensland Health and NSW Health services. She is a Board-approved supervisor (with the Psychology Board of Australia) with endorsement in clinical psychology. Rebecca is a supervisor for the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program.

Giancarlo Dimaggio
Giancarlo Dimaggio, MD, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, is a co-founding member of the Center for Metacognitive Interpersonal Therapy in Rome, Italy, and trainer for the Italian Society of Cognitive and Behaviour Psychotherapy (SITCC). His primary interest is in metacognitive processes and mental disorders. He has co-authored and edited six books on psychopathology and psychotherapy, and more than 200 papers in scientific journals. Dr Dimaggio is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Psychology: In-Session, an associate editor of Psychology and Psychotherapy and the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration.

Professor Duncan Cartwright
Duncan Cartwright is a clinical psychologist, clinical supervisor and is head of the Centre for Applied Psychology, Psychology, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. He is the author of Murdering Minds: Psychoanalysis, Violence and Rage-Type Murder (Brunner-Routledge,2002) and Containing States of Mind: Exploring Bion’s Container Model in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (Routledge, 2010). He brings expertise in Bion’s contribution to psychodynamic psychotherapy, and also systems of formulation from a dynamic perspective, to the program.
