  • Weekly evening meetings (5:30pm-7:30pm, TBC)
  • Online or in-person (Brisbane) options available
  • Regular case presentations, group supervision and individual supervision (to be negotiated to meet endorsement requirements)

Adj. Professor Robert Schweitzer

Program Convener

Robert is a psychodynamic therapist, clinical supervisor, researcher and teacher. Robert is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane, Australia. Robert was responsible for establishing the post graduate training program in clinical psychology at QUT which was designed to enable students to develop an integrative approach to their clinical work. He is active as a clinician practicing from a psychodynamic stance, teacher and researcher. He has had various roles on professional bodies including being a past Chair of the Queensland Psychology Board of Australia. Research fields include contributions to a better understanding of people from refugee backgrounds, and psychotherapy process and outcome research. He is a Board-approved supervisor (with the Psychology Board of Australia) with endorsements in clinical and in counselling psychology.

Dr. Rebecca Bargenquast
Rebecca is a psychodynamic therapist and clinical supervisor with a special interest in the treatment of complex mental health difficulties, early intervention for prodromal (early stage) mental health conditions, and therapy for parenting difficulties and parent-infant attachment issues. Rebecca's clinical work experience includes roles in community, inpatient, and private practice settings working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties including psychosis, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorder, and deliberate self-harm. In the past Rebecca has worked as Clinical Services Coordinator at Queensland University of Technology and Western Sydney University, and Senior Psychologist in both Queensland Health and NSW Health services. She is a Board-approved supervisor (with the Psychology Board of Australia) with endorsement in clinical psychology. Rebecca is a supervisor for the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program.


Sigrid O'Callaghan
Sigrid is a clinical psychologist, psychodynamic psychotherapist and a Board-approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Sigrid is a teaching staff member with the Brisbane Centre of Psychoanalytic Studies and member of the teaching faculty with the Queensland Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association and supervisor for the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program She has been working in private practice since 2007.

Prior to private practice, Sigrid worked in various rehabilitation and community health settings (Berlin, Sydney, Brisbane) with a wide range of people (children, adolescents, adults) presenting with complex mental health issues. Her roles encompassed the treatment of psychological difficulties as well as coordinating clinical programs and supervision for staff. She worked as an external supervisor for the Queensland University of Technology, Post Graduate Program for clinical psychology between 2007- 2020.
